This is a personal site running some image processing tools to help you with your artwork.

These image processing tools will allow you to create new images based on a number of "recipes".

The recipes could be things like Sharpen, Dither, Watermark etc.

Although there might be many recipes which duplicate functions that you will find on any image processing app, some of these will be very novel. If you have come here from the guild then you will be pleased to find many recipes relating to making maps. But if that means nothing to you, then there are other recipes for working with laser cutting, 3D views, and texturing that are of wider appeal.

This processing is being done on the web server. So as not to thrash it, consuming all of its resources processing these images from many users, this system will process everyones jobs one at a time in sequence.

So for you to do some image processing you need to do the following:

• Hit the button at the top to create a new job.
• Select the job Recipe and hit proceed button.
• Read the text about what it does noting what parameters it takes, and then hit another proceed button.
• Then it will give you a Job ID and PIN number. Note them both down somewhere then hit Edit Job button.
• Change parameter values, upload input images, and set up the job parameters by clicking on the big arrows next to them.
• Hit the Run Job button

Now it will say that your job has been scheduled to run.

• Wait a while... The precise duration of one "while" depends on what your asking it to do and how many other people are ahead of you in the queue.
• Use the Refresh button just under the status line to see if it has changed.
• Looking at the Status of your job, it should change to Running, then Finished or Failed.
• If all went well and it Finished, click on the generated image thumbnails to bring up the full sized generated result.
• Use your right mouse button to Save Image As on the full sized image to store it on your own PC.
• Or, just right mouse button on the generated text file icon and use the Save Link As to store text results on your own PC.

You may then use the Delete button to clear out the job and all of the uploaded files for it. Or you may hit Edit, making different changes to the job parameters and go around the processing wait again. Or just quit the page and the job will get deleted and cleaned up eventually.

You can come back later and use the Find Job and enter both the Job ID and the PIN number to get at the job again - so long as you dont leave it so long that it got cleared out.

Jobs that have been idle for a long while will be cleared out so that the files wont build up. The precise duration of a "long while" is not specified, but can be assumed to be no shorter than a "32 bit while". But to pin it down to a ball park figure, a few days. And certainly not long enough for anyone to think about using this sites generous capacity to host their baby photo album.

In order for you to access your job and not have other people edit it, when you create a job you will be given a Job ID and a PIN number which you should write down. You can come back later and use the Find button and put in your job ID and PIN and it should find it for you.

To avoid signups, logins, passwords and cookies, you have to use the Job ID and PIN numbers given to you. As such, this is not a fanatically secure system and it could be that if its abused too much then it may change to needing a token to access. In the mean time it will be monitored closely (an admin can view all the jobs and uploads that are still active).

Without a signup, this site uses no cookies. But like every other web server, it will log IP addresses and basic access information. No other personal information is stored.

This website is copyright, but to be clear, any user submissions have copyrights maintained with the owners / uploaders. Additionally, no copyright is claimed for any of the results from the results of processing user submissions. And this website will not knowingly share or distribute user uploads or the results from the processing of them.

That being said, this website is not designed to be secure and does not guarantee the security of files uploaded and you use at your own risk. Users are urged to mark the job for delete once they are finished with it and all the files associated with a job will get wiped.

The site is not to be used for the upload of illegal content and anyone who contravenes this may get reported / blocked or technical measures will be coded up as required.

Failing that I have a crack team of unwashed dwarves to rub their greasy beards on you. So be warned ! (Unless your into that kind of thing, in which case Ewww)
